Segments tell you that a particular page was accessed during a visit - that's IT!
If you use a link in your segment and then view data for that segment - it will tell you all the visits that had atleast one view of the link you have added in your segment definition.
For your requirement where you want to know how many people accessed a particular set of pages ONLY. Go to Content > Top Content report. (On the left-nav)
- Go down to the bottom of your screen to click Advanced Filters
- In the box near the green Page enter the last words /videos|/events|/profile (Seperated by | )
- Hit Apply Filter
